Georgia & South Carolina

A peach of a day, whichever state of mind you happen to be in

Among Atlanta's diverse economy is a thriving motion picture and television production industry, which has garnered the nickname, Hollywood of the South. The team on The Road to 50 States came here to film too, and after capturing a driving tour of the city, they took themselves off to CDMO, Mikart, where they filmed the day's only interview with CEO, Michael Kallelis. As they left the Atlanta metropolis, they headed east across The Peach State to their next destination, which ironically is a larger producer of the fuzzy fruit than their neighbor. Yep, that would be South Carolina. Once the chrome cars crossed the Savannah River, they were into The Palmetto State – their 43rd by the way – and on their way to the charming port city of Charleston. It had been a much shorter day of driving for the crew, and they welcomed the idea of an earlier arrival at their overnight stop and a good night's sleep.
