Bailey is a Senior Scientist at Altis, focused on client project design and management. She received her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, mentored by Dr. Scott Magness. During her doctoral research, Bailey developed expertise in intestinal stem cell biology by investigating intestinal stem cell dynamics in response to environmental cues, including extracellular matrices and inflammatory cytokines. She also received her Bachelors and Masters in Animal Poultry Science from Virginia Tech, where her research focused on the development of transporters in the chicken intestine.
