Hiroaki is a process chemist at Kaneka Corporation in Japan, where he leads the process development team for small-molecule APIs and intermediates. His expertise covers organic chemistry, process chemistry, and flow chemistry, and he earned his Ph.D. in flow chemistry while working at Kaneka. Hiroaki has led more than 40 scale-up projects, including cGMP manufacturing campaigns. He has also led flow chemistry development from fundamental research to industrialization, including managing the design and installation of flow reactor facilities. His current work focuses on integrating flow chemistry and enzymatic reactions to deliver efficient, scalable, and sustainable pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
