Mitsutaka Shirasaki, with over 24 years of industry experience, is a seasoned expert in pharmaceutical visual inspection systems. He currently serves as a Principal Scientist at Samsung Biologics, leading initiatives in advanced inspection technologies and quality control. Previously, Mitsutaka was the Principal Engineer for Inspection Vision Systems at Genentech, where he led the global implementation of AI-based automated inspection platforms and established robust vision tuning and training programs that significantly improved inspection system performance. He is recognized for his leadership in technical team development, system optimization, and contributions to industry standards through publications and BioPhorum workstreams. Mitsutaka holds a master’s degree in engineering technology management and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and mathematics.
