Dietmar Mayer has more than 30 years of experience in the development of analytical methods, starting with cell-based and molecular biology assays to measure oxidative stress, aging processes, and Alzheimer's disease. At IDT Biologika, he established the Molecular Biology Department and, since 2016, has been responsible for the development, transfer, and validation of analytical methods in the fields of molecular biology, biochemistry/virology, microbiology, and physicochemical analytics, primarily for viral vectors but also for small molecules.

As Head of the Analytical Development Department, he leads analytical method development for customer projects and oversees the analytical transfer and onboarding of new customer programs. In this role, he is responsible for ensuring the successful implementation, transfer, and qualification of analytical methods throughout the project lifecycle.
