Dr. Brimhall is a board-certified physician and executive leader with more than 25 years of clinical experience and over 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. His expertise spans pharmacology, translational medicine, regulatory strategy, and clinical research, making him a recognized subject matter expert in early-phase drug development. As Vice President, Medical Science & Strategy, Dr. Brimhall leads medical strategy for Early Development Services, supporting study design, protocol feasibility, operational planning, and study placement. He also serves as the medical lead for the Internal Medicine Pillar, partnering with sponsors to develop efficient, scientifically rigorous clinical development programs. Throughout his career, Dr. Brimhall has served as Principal Investigator on more than 700 Phase 0–4 clinical studies, including first-in-human (FIH), first-in-patient (FIP), proof-of-concept, bioequivalence/bioavailability (BE/BA), lactation, ethnic sensitivity, HIV, hypertension, diabetes, adolescent, and rare disease studies. He continues to serve as a Principal Investigator while providing strategic guidance to pharmaceutical sponsors on study feasibility and operational execution. Dr. Brimhall earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Brigham Young University before pursuing his medical and clinical research career. He also served in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1999 to 2008 as a General Internist and Critical Care physician with the Expeditionary Medical Support (EMEDS) program.
