Millipore Sigma Sponsoring LabCentral

The company will back the Cambridge, MA biotechnology incubator.

In the Boston area, startup biotechnology firms and entrepreneurs can turn to biotechnology incubator LabCentral for lab space and other resources. The company is currently in the process of expanding its facility in order to be able to support 30 additional startups.

Its LabCentral Startup Program, in which sponsor companies provide additional support, recently received a boost when MilliporeSigma came on board as a Gold sponsor. The company will support a selected startup with a priority spot and one year of laboratory bench space in the shared laboratory in the LabCentral facility.

As part of its collaboration with LabCentral, MilliporeSigma is also providing process development tools, educational programs and training.

"Innovation is at the heart of the life science industry and startups play an important role in developing new and often life-changing, scientific discoveries," said Udit Batra, Chief Executive Officer, MilliporeSigma. "We are collaborating with LabCentral to be a resource for these emerging companies and to help them get the best start possible."
