John Tobin was appointed vice president and chief commercial officer of Corning Life Science Technologies in June of 2023. In this role, In this role, Tobin leads the Life Sciences Division in building strong relationships with customers as they bring discovery to life. He is responsible for global sales and channel, scientific support, and commercial effectiveness for Corning Life Sciences and Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies. Prior to his current role, Tobin served as vice president and general manager of Corning Life Sciences and prior to that was responsible for leading commercial operations for Corning Pharmaceutical Technologies. He led the negotiation of key pharmaceutical agreements for Valor® Glass, while also expanding the commercial sales of borosilicate tubing operations. Tobin received a bachelor’s degree in international business from Lenoir-Rhyne University and a Master of Business Administration from Boston University.
