Ever the overachievers, our team decided that instead of ending the day in Nancy, France, as originally planned over breakfast, they would add an extra hour of driving and instead end the day in Luxembourg, to finish the country count on Day 22 with 27 countries covered, three days ahead of schedule.
Day 22 itself was a blur of miles through France, beginning on the coast in Marseille, with a drive around the harbor, on to Lyon, and past the Confluence Museum, through Mâcon, and the Chateau d’Estours, and finally on to Luxembourg.
The total time in the cars was 7 hours 42 minutes and 417 miles traveled. A long day of driving, with lots of land covered!
