Day 18: An Action-Packed Tribute to All Things Mad Max

Meeting the Silver Screen Heroes

Day 18 is a special bonus day, the thrilling culmination of our Road to the Max: Australia journey. This one is for the fans—the lovers of all things Mad Max. We’ve compiled extended footage from exclusive interviews with the stars, engineers, stuntmen, and fans who brought this iconic film series to life.

Dive into our conversations with Tim Burns, who played the infamous Johnny the Boy, and Roger Ward, who took on the memorable role of Fifi in the original Mad Max movie. We also had the privilege of speaking with Dale Bensch, the legendary stuntman who, for years, was rumored to have died during the filming of the first movie. Hearing his first-hand accounts of those wild days was nothing short of exhilarating.

Mechanics, Mad Max Fans, and Mayhem

We rounded out the day with Cameron Manewell, an engineer who has built vehicles for some of the film and television industry’s most iconic franchises. Cameron’s work on Mad Max: Fury Road and Furiosa is legendary, and he gave us a look behind the scenes at how those high-speed, adrenaline-fueled chase scenes came to life.

This video is packed with extended footage from our recreation of some of the original film’s most pulse-pounding chase sequences. Buckle up, because this final day is all about celebrating the legacy of Mad Max and the adventure it inspired. Enjoy the ride!
