Planted in Texas in the morning but flying high in Louisiana by sunset
The team on The Road to 50 States recognized some of the large distances required to complete their endeavor on Day 32, as they toiled with another long day in the car, pounding the miles. They began the day without far to travel from their Bryan, Texas overnight stop to the novel facility of iBio, where they saw its plant-based biologics technology. After some in-depth discussions on sustainable processing, they motored further to Houston to meet That's Nice staffer and recent transplant to The Lone Star State, Eugene Hsiu. They looked forward to a nice lunch with him and his wife, where they talked about some of the challenges he's faced in becoming a Texan. Eugene treated the crew to some good hospitality and food to make sure they stayed strong. This was just as well, because after the enjoyment, the rest of the day was occupied with a daunting 8-hour drive into the next state of Louisiana, but they did manage to stop and get the drone up to film another lovely sunset, before rolling into New Orleans well after dark.
