Reunited in The Beaver State and back to the cask at hand
Watch the video for Day 21 on The Road to 50 States, and you'll see a bit of retrospective of Day 20. While Nigel and Lucas were swanning off to Alaska and Hawaii, the rest of the crew were taking the cars from Washington State to Oregon, where the other two would rejoin in Portland. Emilee and Adama had done some karaoke en route, which may or may not have had something to do with a small collision, but it was generally smooth sailing and some more charging, painting, and explaining themselves to locals. Reunited with Nigel and Lucas for Day 21 proper, the team headed to a vineyard in the Williamette Valley, south of Portland, where they met and interviewed Brian Graves of W. R. Grace. Enticing Emilee and Lucas away from all the casks of wine, they hit the road again to take I-5 south to the next stop of California. San Francisco, in fact, would be the overnight stop, and it was another arrival in darkness.
