The Aiken Avara site celebrated a ribbon-cut ceremony to mark the beginning of its operation as part of Avara Pharmaceutical Services after completing the acquisition of the plant April 1.
Festivities included Avara’s Executive Team, Aiken’s employees, and special guests.
The event took place outside of the facilities, where the company’s main sign is located on Windham Avenue at Verenes Industrial Park.
"This acquisition is an important component of our strategic plan and expands our services by adding additional solid dose capability in the United States, which is in very high demand," stated Timothy C. Tyson, chairman and CEO.
“Today the site starts a new story. Our team is ready and committed to deliver first in class products to our clients and consumers,” said Omaira Shelor, VP and site director.
