Dr. Zhou specializes in biologics process development, scale-up, characterization, and technology transfer. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, he provides strategic leadership to the company as he leads a team of more than 4,200 employees — recognized as one of the largest biological development teams. Before joining WuXi Biologics, he held senior leadership positions in Genzyme (now Sanofi), PDL BioPharma, and Merck. Dr. Zhou became a fellow of the American Chemical Society in 2013 and the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering (AIMBE) in 2002. He obtained his Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Hannover in 1989.
